Non-Lapita. Poorly sorted and weathered volcanic sand. Plagioclase and microphaneritic igneous rock fragments (microgranular grains composed dominantly of plagioclase-clinopyroxene with subophitic internal texture of clinopyroxene crystals partly enclosing plagioclase laths), microlitic volcanic rock fragments, opaque iron oxides, clinopyroxene, green hornblende, and deeply weathered brown biotite
