Sand temper in which plagioclase and clinopyroxene mineral grains and lithic fragments of microlitic to vitric andesitic rock are the prominent grain types. some clasts are skeletal calcareous grains of modern reef derivation (well sorted and subrounded).

Two kinds of volcanic glass, one being dark brown mafic volcanic glass, and the other being pale tan to colorless felsic volcanic glass.
