Meinakapa feldspathic

Poorly sorted, angular to subangular feldspathic aggregate sand temper, with hornblende the dominant ferromagnesian silicate mineral.

Fabric Class:

Feldspathic Igneous-Amphibolic: Dominated by feldspar inclusions, with igneous lithics and amphiboles.

Andesitic Arc: Dominated by andesite and basalt lithic fragments, with microlitic, felsitic and vitric textures, and the andesite minerals (plagioclase, clinopyroxene and sometimes hornblende).
