Saipan volcanic

Terrigenous andesitic (non-quartzose) volcanic sand temper. Feldspar is plagioclase. Unai Bapot Type B. Inland stream sands. Possibly local. Found in later crude coarseware. Clinopyroxene and orthopyroxene present.

Wholly non-calcareous, poorly sorted andesitic sand temper made up dominantly of vitric, microlitic and some felsitic volcanic lithic fragments, feldspar is plagioclase. Coarseware. Clinopyroxene and orthopyroxene.
