Buru hybrid

Hybrid coastal sand (metamorphic terrigenous detritus). Moderately to well sorted, subrounded hybrid (mixed calcareous and terrigenous aggregate) temper sands of presumed beach origin in which terrigenous grains were derived from foliated metasedimentary bedrock.

Fabric Class:

Sedimentary: Dominated by sedimentary/metasedimentary lithic inclusions.

Tectonic Highland Quartzose: Quartzose fabrics, with chert/metachert and slate/phyllite lithics.

Similar to fluvial buru, but with calcareous beach sand. Metamorphic.
