Saipan hybrid

Mixed quartzose (dacitic)-calcareous hybrid temper sand, Unai Bapot Type C. Possibly local coastal sands. Feldspar is plagioclase.

Fabric Class:

Calcareous: Dominated by calcareous inclusions.

Andesitic Arc Quartzose Variant: Dominated by andesite and basalt lithic fragments, with microlitic, felsitic and vitric textures, and the andesite minerals (plagioclase, clinopyroxene and sometimes hornblende). With quartz.
