Saipan dacitic

Quartzose volcanic sand tempers of dacitic character. Feldspars are plagioclase. Vesicular and non-vesicular vitrics, clear and brown glass.

Fabric Class:

Lithic Quartzose-Feldspathic: Dominated by igneous and/or sedimentary lithics, with quartz and feldspar.

Andesitic Arc Quartzose Variant: Dominated by andesite and basalt lithic fragments, with microlitic, felsitic and vitric textures, and the andesite minerals (plagioclase, clinopyroxene and sometimes hornblende). With quartz.
