Muyua/Woodlark quartzose-feldspathic

Moderately sorted, fine- to medium-grained, subangular to subrounded quartzo-feldspathic temper sands in which both kinds of feldspar and microphaneritic igneous rock fragments are prominent from Muyua, Solomons.

Fabric Class:

Quartzose: Dominated by quartz inclusions.

Dissected Orogen: Dominated by plutonic lithics such as microgranite, and those with microphaneritic textures, as well as metavolcanics. They have K-feldspars dominate, in addition to plagioclase.
