Eua gabbroic

Abundant gabbroic detritus with uralitic alteration, ie. ithic fragments of plutonic gabbro/microgabbro, intrusive rocks. Stream sands. Amphibole is uralite, altered pyroxene.

Fabric Class:

Feldspathic Igneous-Amphibolic: Dominated by feldspar inclusions, with igneous lithics and amphiboles.

Andesitic Arc Quartzose Variant: Dominated by andesite and basalt lithic fragments, with microlitic, felsitic and vitric textures, and the andesite minerals (plagioclase, clinopyroxene and sometimes hornblende). With quartz.
