Hybrid temper sand of mixed calcareous and terrigenous grains. Optically amorphous chitinous grains of tan coloration derived from crab or echinoid shells. Glassy rock fragments, microcrystalline volcanic rock fragments, clinopyroxenes, opaques, plagioclase.
Non-calcareous volcanic temper of lithic sand. Moderately sorted and subrounded medium to coarse temper sands displaying placer concentration of opaque iron oxide grains (probably magnetite), glassy rock fragments, and clinopyroxene. Temper probably from stream.
Non-calcareous volcanic temper of lithic sand.
Fine quartzose sand that is distinctly micaceous, with prominent dispersed flakes of white mica (muscovite).
Grog and lithic. Lithics could be naturally part of clay. Higher exposure has brigher XPL.
