Pyroxene-bearing (but hornblende free) feldspathic sands with dominant volcanic rock fragments are pumiceous felsic glass. Contain vitroclastic glass shards of vocanic ash in the past.
Pyroxene-bearing and hornblende-free feldspathic temper sand embedded in clay paste containing a significant component of volcanic ash.
Previous presence of calcareous temper grains removed through leaching. Plagioclase, volcanic lithic, opaque iron oxide, and clinopyroxene grains also present.
Hornblende-bearing placer aggregate sand temper. Imported.
