Garua feldspathic

Generally andesitic, fine- to medium-grained, subangular to subrounded temper sand of probable beach origin. Feldspar grains, distinctly more volcanic lithic fragments than Boduna tempers, and distinctly fewer ferromagnesian grains, both silicates and oxides than Boduna. Minor quartz grains and obsidian fragments. Clinopyroxene dominant, but minor orthopyroxene.

Fabric Class:

Feldspathic Pyroxenic: Dominated by feldspar inclusions, with pyroxenes.

Andesitic Arc: Dominated by andesite and basalt lithic fragments, with microlitic, felsitic and vitric textures, and the andesite minerals (plagioclase, clinopyroxene and sometimes hornblende).
