Exotic Navatu fine sand

The occurrence of K-feldspar, and the prevalence of hornblende over pyroxene, suggests a probable origin from nearby 2 southeastern rather than more distant southwestern Viti Levu (more broad compositional affinity with Nasilai and Karobo tempers than with Sigatoka and Yanuca tempers).

Incised cross-hatched sherd. Dissected orogen temper. Fine grained may be natural and/or fluvial sand.
