Sedimentary (Q137397618)
Dominated by sedimentary/metasedimentary lithic inclusions.
Note that to see the 'Geology' layer (layer options in top right corner) you may have to zoom out.
Many fabrics have a range of abundances. The range maximum (top) and minimum (bottom) are shown.

Vasino-type temper (hybrid lithic Timor sands).
Lithic hybrid sand in which lithic terrigenous detritus is admixed in variable proportions with calcareous grains that include both massive grains and foraminiferal tests. Lithic fragments of sedimentary rock- dominantly murky argillite (or shale or mudstone).
Lithic-type. Also called MA_C7_1562.
M64 has a full slide scan available (user: Guest pwd: Guest). Imaged by K. Hardy and M. Leclerc, ANU.
Hybrid coastal sand (metamorphic terrigenous detritus). Moderately to well sorted, subrounded hybrid (mixed calcareous and terrigenous aggregate) temper sands of presumed beach origin in which terrigenous grains were derived from foliated metasedimentary bedrock.
Similar to fluvial buru, but with calcareous beach sand. Metamorphic.
Coarse fluvial temper (mica, micaceous quartzite, quartzite, biotite, quartz, garnet) rich in metamorphic detritus.
